Excursion to Caversham Wildlife Park
Bringing General English to Life at Caversham Wildlife Park
On 29 May 2025, our General English students recently enjoyed an unforgettable excursion to Caversham Wildlife Park, getting up close with iconic Aussie animals like kangaroos, koalas, and wombats. But beyond the fun and photo opportunities, this hands-on experience also played a valuable role in their English language learning journey.
Excursions like this aren’t just about sightseeing; they’re an extension of the classroom. While exploring the park, students practiced their English in real-life situations: reading signs and information boards, asking questions, listening to presentations, and engaging in conversation with classmates and locals. It’s an immersive way to reinforce vocabulary and expressions they’ve been learning, particularly around animals, nature, and Australian culture.
