Sustainable Style at AILFE!

Our CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care students embraced the Melbourne Cup spirit with a sustainability focus, designing creative dresses made from recycled materials!

This activity connects with BSBSUS411 Implement and monitor environmentally sustainable work practices, showcasing how environmental responsibility can be applied in fun, practical ways. Students explored:

  1.  Sustainable material use and waste reduction

  2.  Creative expression through recycled fashion

  3.  Community engagement in eco-friendly initiatives

  4.  Continuous improvement for sustainable outcomes

Our ELICOS students also joined in, learning about the Melbourne Cup as a unique part of Australian culture, a wonderful way to build English skills through real-life experiences.
